“I remember that winter because it brought the heaviest snow I had ever seen. It had snowed steadily through the night and I woke up in the morning to a room full of light and silence. The whole world seemed to be held in a dreamlike stillness, it was a magical day and it was on that day I made the snowman.”

THE STORY OF COSMIA

Our upcoming handmade theatre production is a galactic and enchanted winter tale, written by Bat for Lashes!

It tells the tale of a lonely little boy named Teddy who builds a snow-woman that he decorates with cape and crown and names COSMIA. That night, a rogue comet strikes his creation and his snow-queen comes to life, sweeping him away on an extraterrestrial adventure that will change his life forever. With the help of some colorful and eccentric new friends from planet Chironia, Teddy learns how to face his greatest fears with courage, imagination and hope.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

The story of COSMIA comes straight from the visionary heart of Bat for Lashes, the British singer/songwriter, multi- instrumentalist and visual artist Natasha Khan.

Kalabash is no stranger to the enchanting soundscapes and haunting vocals of Bat for Lashes. We have been fans for years and her songs have underscored many late night papier-mâché sessions and impromptu dance parties here
