SHIP CAPTAIN I ART 

Katie (she/her) is a multidisciplinary artist based in San Diego, CA. She is dedicated to helping people gain access to arts education, sharing the importance of art as a means to connect with our truest selves and beauty that surrounds us. Katie is a former resident of Space4Art, a community arts collective located in downtown San Diego, and produces works in a variety media from photography and illustration, to performance art, music and poetry. She studied at SDSU’s School of Art + Design and received a BA in Art with an emphasis in Multimedia in 2015. In addition to doing freelance graphic design, she assists artists at Revision San Diego, a non-profit providing inclusive access to art and culture for disabled adults, and works as a Developmental Therapy Coach with people on the spectrum. She has been a friend of Kalabash for many years; documenting summer camps and utilizing her skills to paint sets for hand-made theatre productions. She is thrilled to be a part of the community of Artist-Teachers here at Kalabash, sharing the magic of music and art everyday.
